Silky Creamy Chocolate Panna Cotta
1 packet of gelatin
1½ cup of whole milk
1½ cup of half & half
½ cup of sugar
¼ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract
Mix the packet of gelatin with the milk to soften the gelatin.
In a medium saucepan, heat up the half & half and heavy cream over low-medium heat until it comes to a simmer.
Whisk in the sugar, chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Bring to a simmer and cook until the chocolate has melted.
Add the milk and gelatin mixture and stir until gelatin has entirely dissolved. Bring the entire mixture to a simmer.
Ladle into serving dishes of your choice and refrigerate until set, about 6 hours.
When panna cotta is set, top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
