Fuji Apple Tarte Tartin

Super Easy Apple Tarte Tartin 1 stick unsalted butter 1 cup brown sugar ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg 1 tablespoon vanilla extract Pinch of salt ¾ to 1 pound Fuji apples, peeled, cored, and quartered 1 sheet of puff pastry Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for serving Cook the Apples Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large pot, combine butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, salt, and apples over medium heat. Gently toss the apples in the mixture and cook until the apples are fork tender, about 20-25 minutes depending on the size of your apples. Make sure to stir often so the sugar does not burn.
